Erika, Alfredo, María, José e Isabella

NUESTRO MAYOR TESORO....

Por estos días Erika está de viaje con José e Isabella; María y yo nos quedamos  en la casa. El tiempo a solas me permite apreciar más mi familia y la diferencia de personalidades y caracteres.

Erika.....ella es mi esposa amada, mi complemento ideal. Siempre está mostrándome como puedo mejorar. Siempre está dispuesta ayudar y pocas veces se niega cuando de organizar algo o ayudar a alguien se trata. Tiene mucha energía y dedicación, es organizada, y cuando la dejamos, tiene todo en su lugar. Tiene un estilo especial para aconsejar y ayudar a los demás; siempre habla directo, con amor y verdad. No, no es perfecta y si, a veces tenemos diferencias y discusiones pero la forma como las maneja ha cambiado mucho en los últimos años. No hay nadie como ella en la Tierra!

María......está a punto de casarse, es una mujer hermosa y en los últimos meses le ha sucedido algo increíble; ha madurado y está aprendiendo aceleradamente a ser adulta.  Rubén, su futuro esposo, la complementa muy bien y aunque son jóvenes hay un brillo especial en ellos; tanto individualmente como pareja. No son perfectos y de vez en cuando tenemos esas largas conversaciones. Pero estar a solas con ella me ha permitido apreciar esto un poco más. Nuestra hija es única!

José.....está casi de mi tamaño. Es adolescente, un  poco rebelde y descuidado. Tiene un don especial para comunicarse con otros, tiene esa habilidad natural de caer bien dónde va, es educado y respetuoso. Se está convirtiendo en todo un hombre. En las últimas semanas ha cambiado mucho; ha pasado de ser un poco respondón y tener mala actitud cuando le pedimos algo, a hacer todo de buena gana y con respeto; es imposible no notarlo. No, no es perfecto y aún tiene mucho que mejorar pero ciertamente ha madurado mucho. José también es único!

Isabella......ella es Isabella, tiene una personalidad increíble, energía y valentía que a veces nos deja sorprendidos. Gracias a ella estamos re descubriendo el significado de ser padres y criar un hijo. Cada día habla más y puede expresar más lo que quiere y siente. No necesita sonreír para ganarse a la gente, solo tiene que mirar con esos ojos grandes y esa carita dulce para obtener prácticamente lo que quiera. Si, a veces la consentimos demasiado pero que puedo decir, como padres, tampoco podemos ser perfectos. Isabella es una bendición!

Que es especial en ellos? Son diferentes? Que hace posible todos estos cambios?.......La verdad es que somos una familia común y corriente tenemos ingresos limitados, dudas, temores y angustias como muchos. Los cambios en Erika, María, José y por supuesto en mí NO SON producto de una habilidad especial o de algo con lo que nacimos. Y aunque Isabella aún no tiene edad para decidir seguir a Jesús, nuestras oraciones son que tenga ese encuentro personal a su tiempo. 

Ese es el secreto!!......Somos una familia que está siendo transformada por el Espíritu Santo. Es Jesús que vive en nosotros(*) y su amor, que fluye a través de nosotros, lo que nos está transformando. Si Jesús puede convertir una persona egoísta y arrogante como yo en alguien que se maravilla con cada bendición; y puede lograr los cambios que está sufriendo mi familia ciertamente puede con tu esposo o esposa, con tu hijo o hija, con tu novio o novia. El vino a la Tierra porque sabe que, sin El, no puede salir nada bueno de nosotros y por lo tanto, sin El, es imposible estar completos y satisfechos. El es la razón de los cambios en nuestra familia. El es...

OUR GREATEST TREASURE...

These days, Erika is traveling with Jose and Isabella; Maria and I stayed in the House. One-on-one time allows me to appreciate more my family and the difference in personalities and characters.

Erika... She is my beloved wife, my ideal complement. She is always showing me how I can improve. She is always ready to help and rarely refuses when organize something or help someone is needed. Has lots of energy and dedication, is organized, and when we let her, has everything in place. Has a special style to advise and help others; always speak directly, with love and truth. No, she's not perfect and Yes, sometimes we have differences and arguments but the way she handled them has changed a lot in recent years. There is no one like her on Earth!

Maria.....is about to marry, is a beautiful woman and in the last few months something amazing; has happened. She has matured and is rapidly learning to be adult.  Ruben, her future husband, complements her very well and although they are young there is a shine in them; individually and as a couple. They are not perfect and sometimes we have these long conversations. But being alone with her has allowed me to appreciate this a little more. Our daughter is unique!

Jose...is almost of my tall. He is a teenager, a bit rebellious and careless. Has a special knack for communicating with others, has that natural ability to fall well where ever he is, is polite and respectful. He is becoming a growth man. In recent weeks he has changed a lot; has gone from being a little nice and having bad attitude when we ask something, to do all willingly and with respect; It is impossible not to notice it. No, he is not perfect and still has a lot to improve but has certainly matured. Jose is also unique!

Isabella... She is Isabella, has an incredible personality, energy and courage that sometimes leaves us surprised. Thanks to her we are re discovering the meaning of parenting and raising a child. Every day talks more and can express more what she wants and feel. She doesn't need to smile to win over the people, only has to look at with those big eyes and that sweet face for virtually get anything she wants. Yes, sometimes we spoil it too much, but what I can say, as parents we can't be perfect. Isabella is a blessing!

What is special in them? Are they different? What makes these changes possibles?... The truth is that we are a common family that have limited income, doubts, fears and anxieties as many. The changes in Erika, Maria, Jose and of course in my are non-product of a special skill or something with which we were born. And even though Isabella still has not the age to decide to follow Jesus, our prayers are that she get her personal encounter with Him. 

That's the secret! ...... We are a family that is being transformed by the Holy Spirit. It is Jesus who lives in us(*) and his love which flows through us, what is transforming us. If Jesus can transform  a selfish and arrogant person like me to somebody grateful with every blessing; and can achieve the changes that are happening in my family certainly can with your husband or wife, with your son or daughter, your boyfriend or girlfriend. He came to Earth because he knows that, without Him, we can not produce anything good and therefore, without Him, it is impossible to be satisfied and complete. He is the reason for the changes in our family. He is.....
